CTPM Advocacy Program

The women who need an advocate are in the trenches of oppressive and complex domestic abuse situations. Advocates help them rebuild, compassionately listen, help them find their voice, and untangle the lies they believe about themselves and abuse.

An advocate is trained to enter into the situation with an abused woman and walk with her through the process of finding safety and peace. They help her assess danger levels, prepare for and attend court, create safety plans, assist church leaders in understanding, and most importantly, provide biblical truth to help equip survivors to make decisions based on God’s word.

Since the beginning of our advocacy program in 2017, we have trained 752 women and men across the country and served 1,576 women through advocacy support.

More Resources are Necessary

BUT, over the past 3 years we have had an average of 100 women on our waitlist for advocacy support. They are desperate for the help we offer and we simply have not been able to keep up with the need.

The current demand and our desire to serve each woman who reaches out to us effectively require more resources. We need to expand our advocacy program to serve every woman living in domestic abuse.

Current Plan to Grow Our Advocacy Program

Webinars for survivors with 30 Minute Q&As:
Topics include Family Court 101, Resources for Survivors, and Is it Abuse?

Advocacy Support Groups:
A place for sharing information about upcoming webinars, for survivors to ask questions, and find support.

Open Forums

Online Advocacy Drop-In Hours:
We’re introducing regular drop-in hours online where survivors can directly interact with advocates, ask questions, discuss strategies, and collaborate with other survivors. This is an open forum for real-time discussions.

Our hope is that with your help we can serve every woman desiring advocacy support through these new endeavors.

DONATE Before Dec 31st to help us reach our goal of raising $125,000.

We have a generous anonymous donor who is providing a $30,000 MATCHING GRANT to double every gift given from a NEW donor or given as an increase in giving since 2022 between now and December 31st.

  • A new donor is any donor who hasn’t given since 12/31/21 and their gift will be matched
  • An increased giver is someone who gave in 2022 and gives an increase from their 2022 gift after 11/11/22. The increased difference will be matched.
  • Please indicate in your donation that you want your gift to be applied to the matching grant.

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
