CTPM Advocacy Program

The women who need an advocate are in the trenches of oppressive and complex domestic abuse situations. Advocates help them rebuild, compassionately listen, help them find their voice, and untangle the lies they believe about themselves and abuse.

An advocate is trained to enter into the situation with an abused woman and walk with her through the process of finding safety and peace. They help her assess danger levels, prepare for and attend court, create safety plans, assist church leaders in understanding, and most importantly, provide biblical truth to help equip survivors to make decisions based on God’s word.

Since the beginning of our advocacy program in 2017, we have trained 752 women and men across the country and served 1,576 women through advocacy support.

More Resources are Necessary

BUT, over the past 3 years we have had an average of 100 women on our waitlist for advocacy support. They are desperate for the help we offer and we simply have not been able to keep up with the need.

The current demand and our desire to serve each woman who reaches out to us effectively require more resources. We need to expand our advocacy program to serve every woman living in domestic abuse.
