Kamilla Boerema
Bio / Background
Kamilla lives in Chattanooga, TN and was raised in a pastor’s home in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. In 1981, she graduated from Tennessee Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a minor in Bible. In 1985, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Kamilla is married to Dan and they have 3 adult children plus nine precious grandchildren.
In 1981, Kamilla started a small business called Daily Distribution which currently has 26 employees. She also has numerous investment properties under the name of KAM Properties.
In 2015, Kamilla was privileged to begin serving as the Director of Women’s Ministries at Grace Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN where along with her husband, Dan, and family have been active members since 1978. She also currently serves on several local Boards and Finance sub-Committees.
Kamilla is an active CTPM Advocate. Her involvement in Called to Peace Ministries began when a domestic violence survivor she had been working with joined a CTPM Support Group. The help and healing was remarkable! Kamilla has since completed CTPM’s Advocacy Training and is currently a part of the Advocacy Training Team assisting behind the scenes each Tuesday. In addition, she has also coordinated several Protect The Flock trainings in Chattanooga.
Kamilla is continually amazed at the passion of those that God has called to invest their time and energy in CTPM…the staff….the volunteers….CTPM is so blessed! Kamilla is amazed at the mission of this organization as they care for victims of domestic violence – for those that, throughout the scriptures, are identified as ‘the oppressed’. Clearly, this is God’s work! Kamilla’s heart cry as she serves on the Board of Directors is that God uses this leadership team to continue and further His work in the prevalent battle of domestic violence.
Lynne Beaman
Bio / Background
Before becoming an abuse survivor herself, Lynne’s story begins with Jesus. She was blessed to be taken to church and grew a love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, having been spiritually mentored by good pastors in several Lutheran churches. God matured her faith in college, during the “marriage and family” years and even through an international adoption journey.
Lynne has been in more than one abusive relationship and has survived abuse on the high end of the lethality index. She encountered Joy Forrest and the budding Called to Peace Ministries back in 2017 when there was just one support group being led by Joy and Kristi Lay. She counts herself as lucky to be part of the CTPM OG… Original Group…and is back to serve with a passion.
Lynne presently serves the board as vice chair. She returned to support the ministry in 2021 by recording and editing an audio version of Joy’s book Called to Peace. Next Lynne developed the ministry’s first strategic plan in conjunction with Joy, Sandra Pearce and Mary Gifford. Lynne was voted onto the Board of Directors later that year.
When she’s not serving the ministry, Lynne can be found supporting her three adult children, working in business development at a growing architecture and engineering company or trying to get on a beach somewhere.

Jane Latta
Bio / Background
I have a heart for women who are hurting, confused and experiencing the pain of betrayal and difficult relationships. Having experienced these dynamics personally and professionally, I seek to empower and educate women toward awareness and truth. I first heard of Leslie Vernick in the True Betrayal group at Summit Church. I proceeded to read many of her books including the Emotionally Destructive Marriage book. I signed up for all her courses and repeated most of them. I had so much to learn about domestic abuse and how to heal.
Through my journey, I attended a Called To Peace Retreat where Leslie was speaking. This retreat forever changed my life and understanding of domestic abuse. I desire to see Called To Peace grow and successfully navigate the next few years in order to help more victims of domestic abuse survive and thrive. The church has been ill-equipped to deal with abuse and I am encouraged that Called To Peace is available as a vital resource.
I am a registered nurse with a Masters in Health Administration who served in executive and consultant work in healthcare while navigating the challenges of my blended family. I am a certified life and leadership coach. I lead one of the true betrayal groups at Summit Church. Married for 40 hectic years, I know from experience as a nurse, mom, and wife that we are both beautiful and broken and we are not alone. I am blessed with two gorgeous grandchildren.
