Wonder has a longstanding passion for Women’s ministry for over 30 years. God has given her the opportunity to serve as Women’s ministry director in churches during military moves and more recently as group leader then Class Administrator for Bible Study Fellowship International.
Just as God sends additional troops as reinforcement for war, God sent CTPM to Wonder to help reinforce healing after starting her healing journey through Leslie Vernick’s book, “The Emotionally Destructive Marriage” and Walking in Core Strength support group.
CTPM has been an additional lifeline in helping her to see that God cares more about her as His beloved daughter than to see her stay in a marriage where her spirit was constantly broken under the weight of her abusive and unrepentant husband. She is also training to become a certified CTPM domestic abuse advocate.
She is the proud mother of 4 children and 3 grandchildren who affectionately call her “Mimi”. A faithful member of Vision church under the leadership of Pastor Jerome Gay, she has served as co-director of Vision kids and now leads a ladies community group. A former Air Force captain, she has been a Registered nurse for over 30 years working as trauma ED nurse, Educator and currently serving as a Case Manager in helping our veterans at the VA Hospital in Durham, NC and surrounding counties.
